Bridges Inc. was founded in July, 1990 by Stanley E. Scudder. Officers of the corporation were Stanley E. Scudder, President and Treasurer, Rosalind R. Scudder, Vice President and Secretary.

Mr. Scudder had been employed by Rhoades Const. CO. Inc. of Newton, KS the previous 30 plus years. He was President and stockholder of that company when it closed in 1990 due to serious illness in the Rhoades family ownership.

At that time Mr. Scudder owned the construction yard and shop buildings that RCC had been operating from. It then became the home of Bridges Inc. after some modifications for office space.

The original equipment fleet was purchased from area dealers and the RCC auction.

RCC had two projects under contract at the time of their closure which they transferred to Bridges In. Work began on those projects with 18 employees July 23rd, 1990. The first successful bid of Bridges Inc. was January of 1991. The Job was aptly coded; 91-1!

Bridges Inc. was later sold to employees; Travis Rose, Ramon Bujanda, Jesus Bujanda and Fabian Montres. The final transaction occurred in July 2023.
